Proposed Highland Lake Ordinance's for Public Review

During the April 7, 2026 Town Council Meeting, the following proposed Highland Lake Ordinance was introduced for review.  The proposed Highland Lake Ordinances is largely update to an existing ordinance.  The following proposed Highland Lake Ordinance will be up for public review and comments until the May 5, 2026 Town Council Meeting, where these ordinances will be considered and put to a vote.  Please direct any comments to the Town Clerk.

Building Permits

Written plans for the construction, repair, or renovation of piers, docks, boathouses, seawalls, or any construction within the 900 foot contour line should be submitted to Town Hall for approval by the Town Council prior to the issuance of a Building Permit and the onset of construction.
 
All new construction, additions, and remodeling plans for houses should be submitted to Town Hall for approval by our Building Inspector before the beginning of any project.
